Jesuit High School Lacrosse Classic

Additional Information for Coaches, Parents and Players

Mass and Dinner

Mass and dinner will be held at Gonzaga College High School (19 Eye Street NW, Washington DC 20001) at 6pm on Saturday March 14, 2008. Mass and dinner are mandatory for all players and coaches. Dress code for Mass and dinner is reverently casual, no jacket and tie required. All parents are welcome and invited to attend both events. However, we are asking that each team's parent contact person coordinate all those that would like to attend and RSVP to by March 12th with a total number of attendees. All are welcome, but we must have an RSVP in advance to properly plan for the dinner.

Dress Code

Weather in Washington in March can be really unpredictable, but usually always cold. Please make sure that the players (and parents too!) pack lots of clothing to layer (UnderArmour, etc.) a warm hat, a warm jacket, etc. Also, prepare for rainy, wet weather. Sorry, we will be praying for warm weather again this year!

How Much Money Will I Need?

It will vary from team to team, as some teams will handle and have already included the purchasing of lunch and drinks for the entire team. However, in general, there are concession stands every day with food and new STX lacrosse sticks (with all money raised going to charity) as well as other JLC items to purchase. The players should have cash available if they would like to purchase these items.

Rules and Regulations

Just a reminder that there is a zero alcohol tolerance policy. Also, we are asking that each team adhere to an 11:00pm curfew for all players. We want to ensure that we all have a safe and fulfilled weekend.

What is Needed From Each Team?

Each team is expected to provide their own trainer, first aid supplies, drinks, tape, balls, etc. We are also requesting that each team provide and designate two (2) "Field Reps" to assist with managing the clock, horn, scorekeeping, penalties, etc. In the case of an injury requiring emergency personnel, please contact the Prep Trainer or alert the personnel at the Information Table during the game days.

Reminder

Although we are all "Men for Others", it is still prudent to warn all players to label all of their equipment and to keep an eye on their sticks and lacrosse bags at all times. We would all rather be "safe than sorry." Thank you for reminding the players.
